In the past I used Split into Grid in various actions and I'm pretty sure that in older versions of Illustrator creating the guides was not dependent on ruler settings or specific object positions. The only reference used to be the object itself. It's rather doubtful to call the current behaviour "as expected". I'd even say it's a plain bug that was introduced a couple of years ago. Also, the guides created with Split into Grid are not "global across the canvas". They are simple stroked paths, a bit wider and higher than the objects that are split.

You're welcome. For what it's worth, in case you want to retain the GyomatsuYakumonoHankaku paragraph setting for some reason, you can also just select the apostrophe and change the right Aki setting in the Character panel to "None" (instead of "Auto").

Make sure the East Asian Type options are turned on in the application preferences. Then select the text objects, go to the Paragraph panel and set the Mojikumi Set to "None".

Thank you for providing the sample file. Yes, it's possible to fuse the emblem and get a black version. It's not a one-whack solution, but you can use a knockout group and combine it with flattening transparency. Some fine-tuning may be required, depending on the desired accuracy. Are you familiar with using knockout groups and flattening them?

Spiral arrangements like your snail shell can be created with the Transform effect (or Transform Each), but they may sometimes look a bit too clean. For a more natural look you may just draw it manually with the Pen tool or the Curvature tool.

As implied in my previous post, the Reverse Order command is only available when the objects are highlighted or highlighted and selected in the Layers panel. If the objects are merely selected, the Reverse Order command is greyed out. A bit confusing, indeed.

As far as I can see, it's a nasty bug in the latest Illustrator version (29.4) when the "Select and Unlock objects on canvas" option is turned on in the application preferences. It does not happen when this option is turned off.

That should actually work with an action. To prevent the modal dialog from appearing, you'd have to disable the modal dialog icon on the left of the action name.
